The Data General DG-SPP-LC-LC-OM4 is a duplex multimode fiber patch cable engineered for high-speed optical connectivity in data centers, enterprise networks, and structured cabling systems.
Manufactured using OM4 multimode fiber, this patch cord supports high-bandwidth applications such as 10G, 25G, 40G and 100G Ethernet, making it ideal for modern switching and server environments. The cable is terminated with LC connectors on both ends, ensuring low insertion loss, high return loss, and excellent signal integrity.
The OM4 fiber core is optimized for 850 nm VCSEL-based transceivers, enabling extended reach compared to OM3 fiber while maintaining backward compatibility. Its duplex configuration supports bi-directional communication and is commonly used for switch-to-switch, switch-to-server, and patch panel interconnections.
