The DG-40G-AOC is a high-performance 40G QSFP+ Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for reliable, low-latency connectivity in data centers and enterprise networks. It integrates QSFP+ transceivers permanently attached to a multimode fiber cable, delivering a plug-and-play alternative to discrete optics and fiber patch cords.
Built on four full-duplex lanes, each supporting up to 11.3 Gbps, the DG-40G-AOC provides an aggregate bandwidth of 40G while maintaining very low power consumption (<1.5 W). It supports a wide range of protocols including 40G Ethernet, InfiniBand (SDR/DDR/QDR), and Fibre Channel (4G/8G/10G), ensuring broad interoperability across modern switching platforms.
Compliant with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba, and featuring a hot-pluggable QSFP+ form factor, the DG-40G-AOC is ideal for in-rack and inter-rack connections, reducing EMI compared to copper DACs while offering longer reach and improved signal integrity over multimode fiber.
