The DG-1G-RJ45 is a high-performance Copper SFP transceiver designed to deliver reliable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over standard twisted-pair copper cabling. Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ab (1000BASE-T), the module supports data rates up to 1 Gbps with a maximum transmission distance of 100 meters over Cat 5e or higher UTP cables.
The transceiver uses 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM-5) and operates in full-duplex mode, utilizing all four pairs of the copper cable to ensure stable and efficient data transmission. It features a compact integrated RJ45 connector, enabling seamless migration from fiber to copper without changing network equipment.
Compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), the DG-1G-RJ45 is hot-pluggable and supports 2-wire serial interface access for identification and physical layer management. Its fully metallic enclosure provides enhanced EMI shielding, while its low power consumption makes it suitable for dense switch environments.
This module is ideal for switch-to-switch, router-to-server, and enterprise access network connections where copper cabling is preferred or already deployed.
