The LC duplex fiber modules can be connected to single-mode (1310 nm) or multimode (850 nm) fiber at different speeds according to equipment requirements: SFP (1 and 2.5 Gbps), SFP+ (10 Gbps), SFP28 (25 Gbps) and QSFP+ (40 Gbps). Dat general also includes modules with RJ45 connectionfor copper at 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps.
High-speed AOC (Active Optical Cable) cables are available in 1m and 3m lengths (other lengths on request) for speeds of 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps.
High-speed DAC (Direct Attach Cooper) cables are supplied in 1 and 3 m for 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps speeds.
Fiber modules
The 1 Gbps optical transceiver modules operate at 850 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths over dual fibers. They are designed for use on Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and SONET/SDH links, which are SFP MSA compliant.

The 10G SFP+ transceivers from Data General are multipurpose optical modules for 10 Gbit/s data transmission applications at 850 nm and 1310 nm. The Data General SFP28 optical transceivers are designed for use with a data rate of 25GBASE over multimode or single model fiber. The optical transceiver is RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU compliant. SFP28 is a 25GBASE interface that has evolved from 100 Gigabit Ethernet, which is typically implemented with 4 25 Gbit/s data lines.

QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) from Data General is a multi-source module (MSA) for high-speed applications, such as 40G-BASE, that provides four data channels on a pluggable interface. Each channel is capable of transferring data at 10 Gbps and supports a total of 40 Gbps. The 40 Gbps QSFP+ transceiver is ideal for Infiniband and 40GBASE-SR4/CSR4/IR4/ER4 applications.
